Incentive Grants

Incentive grant support1 is available from the REECL Programme in conjunction with the loan financing from the Participating Banks.

Building-level projects:2 Subject to the REECL terms and conditions, borrowers are entitled to receive payment of incentive grants equal to 30% of the total amount of REECL loans for any building-level projects and 35% for building-level projects undertaken by Associations of Apartment Owners and encompassing measures on both building envelope and building service systems.

Dwelling-level projects:3 Subject to the REECL terms and conditions, borrowers are entitled to receive payment up to 20 % of the total amount disbursed by a Participating Bank for dwelling-level projects, provided that the incentive grants payable in respect of each eligible energy efficiency measure do not exceed the maximum amount set forth in the table below and the total incentive grant per borrowing householder do not exceed the cap of €9000.

Householders must apply for their incentive grants upon successful completion of the home energy efficiency projects financed by REECL loans issued by Participating Banks.

Householders should submit an incentive grant application form to their Participating Bank with the required supporting documents including a completion statement, a document confirming payment of invoice, and an original invoice that contains at least: date, name, address, registration of the eligible supplier/installer; technical specifications and details (including price) of the eligible equipment installed; address of dwelling/building where such eligible technologies will be installed; name and address of the borrower, and status of payment. The Participating Bank may request further technical details or other supporting documents if deemed necessary to verify satisfaction of the REECL terms and conditions.

The REECL terms and conditions are detailed in both the REECL loan agreement and loan/incentive grant application forms available at Participating Banks branches.

 

1 If any eligible project costs were partly or fully supported by other grant support programmes, such costs are not eligible under REECL.
2 Building-level projects are implemented in multi-storey apartment buildings and applied to common structures and/or   common engineering systems.
3 Dwelling-level projects are implemented in family houses and/or individual apartments.
4 Partial applications for external insulation of outdoor walls, roofs and floors in multi-storey apartment buildings are not eligible.
5 Gasification of a single apartment is eligible only if implemented as part of a building-level project where all apartments of the same building will be connected to the gas network.
